Hello, everyone. I am Japanese people, now living in Fukushima.
Today, I would like to talk to you about neuclear power plant accident in Fukushima.
Needless to say, Many people in the world say that Fukusima is now very dangerous because of this accident.
Of cource many radioactive materials released but I have two reasons to conclude that Fukushima isn't dangerous now.
First , Tohoku soil save us Fukushima people. Tohoku Soil has specific structure such as Zeolite material chemically.This means that the soil interface adsorbed most of Cs and we can easily remove this matrials owing to this structure.
Today, Japan Self-Defense Forces elaborately removed Fukusima's contaminated soil and the level of radiation risk is going down now.
Second, many researchers say that low level of ionising radiation is not dangerous.
For example, T.D. Lucky, K. Kant and Myron Pollycove shows the fact that low does of radiation do not harm people. On the contrary, their statistics shows that this level of radiation help the heath of peole. This biological effect is often called radiation hormesis.Now in Fukushima, level of radiation is very low and we don't have to
fear the radioactive materials from a neuclear power plant.
